Hi Riya,
There is no requirement as such. The whole idea of Event Management is sheer dedication, hard work and creativity. Conventional Degrees has doesn't impact much as the course itself is determined to be purely professional. So, the minimal qualification as of graduation in any stream for post-graduation diploma and 12+ for diploma is applicable.

There are various event management firms that from time to time hire people with mass comm backgrounds as volunteers for their events.
You could find these links of these firms online or on facebook groups.
Wherein, you would be given certain stipend and certificates too.

There are no entrance tests for Bachelor degree in event management but for the Masters. Following is the list of top public and private entrance tests conducted for admissions in MBA event management in India-

XLRI and other associated B schools
CMAT
B schools approved by AICTE
SNAP
Symbiosis International University & its associates

NMIMS all campuses.
You can prepare for the following entrance exams to study MBA in event management accepting score of these entrance exams.

MBA in event management is a good option. You can prepare well for this year's entrance exam and target to score high and get into institutes like SP Jain, MDI, XIMB, XLRI, SIBM. You can also look for some decent ones like K J Somaiya, GIM, TAPMI. Though your score is average, a good score in entrance exams will enhance your chances.
