This course of study will prepare the student to function as fashion designers, fashion stylists, visual merchandisers, fashion consultants, apparel merchandisers, quality auditors, textile and fabric quality auditors, sampling in charge and coordinators in buying houses.

Usually, the topics are not limited to fashion but a plethora of them. Be well read, about anything and everything right from politics and policies to fashion and labour laws. Anything can be asked. Usually, the GD topics revolve around the happening things, so pay special attention to the trending subjects.

National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi has declared NIFT 2018 result on March 22. Candidates, who appeared for Creative Ability Test CAT and General Ability Test (GAT) on January 21, can check their NIFT result 2018 by entering roll number and date of birth to know their score. The result of NIFT 2018 can be checked in online mode only. Based on the result of written test GAT and CAT shortlisted candidates will be called for situation test.Registration for NIFT 2018 Situation Test can be done from April 5 (2 PM onwards) to April 12 (12 noon). The final result will be declared in May/June 2018. Candidates with higher marks will be shortlisted in the final merit list. Based on the NIFT merit list 2018, candidates will get admission in the design institute.

Symbiosis International University conducts Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design SEED in order to offer admissions to aspirants in B.Des programmes offered at Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). Earlier known as SET for Design, SEED conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU) for design course admissions evaluates candidates on spheres such as colour, geometry, visual observations, general design awareness, creative thinking abilities and awareness on Indian culture, craft, traditions and the likes. SEED conducted by SIU comprises of objective type questions.On the basis of an aspirant's performance in Symbiosis Institute of Design Test, he/she can secure admission in B.Des programmes offered in disciplines such as Graphic Design (GD), Video Film Design (VFD), Animation Film Design (AFD), User Experience Design (UED), Product Design (PD), Interior Space Design (ISD), Fashion Design (FD) and Fashion Communication (FC) offered at SID.
