It depends on your interests and what you want for a career. If you choose a PSU, you will receive a decent package ranging from INR 10 LPA to INR 30 LPA as well as a secure job, but your career growth will be limited. PSUs for ECE engineers are AAI, BARC, BBNL, BEL BEML, BHEL, BSNL JTO, CEL, DMRC DRDO, ECIL, HAL, IOCL, ISRO, MDL, NTPC, NHPC, NLC, OMPL, etc. On the other side, if you pursue M.Tech from any top IITs, NITs, or other government colleges, you will have more exposure in your field. It all depends on your goal and, indeed, your interest. If your aim is to get a good private job or become a programmer, you're good to go for competitive coding. But suppose your aim is either to do a Master's (Master of Technology), a Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) or to get a job in public sector undertakings.
