Admission requirements are set very high by the German universities. For UG courses such as B.Tech in mechanical engineering score of 90% in class 12th board exam is expected for admission. In addition, most of the German universities have following eligibility criteria:
(a) Cleared your JEE Advanced
(b) Completed one year of Bachelor's degree education from a recognised university in India
(c) Cleared the Feststellungsprfung the entrance exam for different universities which you would take to signify effective completion of Studienkolleg. Studienkolleg is a public institute that offers you preparatory courses in the desired subjects in case your educational qualification is not considered at par with the abitur or high school level required for university studies.
(d) In addition to this, students need to appear for IELTS or TOEFL to prove their efficiency in the language.
If you meet above requirement then you may choose your target universities and apply for admission.

The eligibility criteria for MS differ in different universities. General eligibility criteria to in German university is as follows:
(a) High Academics performance or records in undergraduate studies. A score of above 80% in all semesters is a good academic record.
(b) If the course is taught in German, then proof of proficiency in the German language. If the course is taught in English, then proof of proficiency in English by TOEFL or IELTS score.
(c) Some universities require GRE score.
(d) With relevant work experience in the field of further study chances of selection increases.
(e) Demonstration of technical ability through project execution, participation in the Technical symposium, conference etc.
(f) Recommendations letters from international known faculty from where college of graduation.

Therefore, your first target should be to prepare yourself for fulfilling all eligibility criteria. Education fee in Germany is very nominal. You can earn your living expenses by working part time 4 hours per day with a limit of 20 hours per week. My son did his MS in Germany. I can tell you from my own experience that I did not spend a single penny to get my son educated in Germany he was able to sponsor his education by working 20 hours a week. For bright students there are lots of options and support in Germany.

It may be difficult to get job in Germany based on only Indian B.Tech degree. You are advised to plan MS in a German University to increase your chances to get job in Germany.
