IELTS Scores

CSU prefers students with a score higher than 6.0 (with no score below 5.0) in the IELTS exam, requiring international applicants to demonstrate decent proficiency in verbal and written English.

The University of Otago's English language requirements for the IELTS (Academic module) for postgraduate programs are an overall score of 6.5, with no individual band below 6.0. The University of Otago accepts several alternative English language proficiency tests in addition to IELTS. These include TOEFL, PTE, CPE (Cambridge English Proficiency), and CAE (Cambridge Advanced English). 

Students with 70% in English at Class 12 or equivalent are not required to provide an IELTS score and in some instances students with average scores may be required to provide an English language test score. 

The University of Salford accepts IELTS score from international students as proof of English language proficiency. Although the ELP scores vary from course to course but, here’s a general layout of the required scores in IELTS:

• For Undergraduate Courses: IELTS score of 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each component) or equivalent
• For Postgraduate Courses: IELTS score of 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each component) or equivalent
