Getting a score of 5.5 on the IELTS exam is considered as an avergae score, however to get admission in the Lincoln University in the USA, it might not be enough to meet the admission requirements. The university needs a minimum IELTS overall band score of 5.5 for admission to BA and BS programs.
Apart from IELTS, the other requirements are as follows -
- Min. GPA of 2.75
- A strong academic profile

If students want admission at Youngstown State University they are required to fulfil course specific eligibility criteria as prescribed by university. Students are also required to show English Language Proficiency Test scores. This University accepts minimum IELTS score of 6.5 for any course. While a 5.5 score IELTS exam is an average score, it is not sufficient to get you into Youngtown State University.

Mississippi State University's admission requirements for international students comprise of proof of proficiency in the English language as a major entry requirement. However, students can study in MSU without ELP scores if they meet at least one of the criteria listed below:
