For English-taught programs at ETH Zurich, international students would need to submit their English test scores. IELTS can be taken and other than this exam, TOEFL scores can also be submitted. Given below are the minimum scores you would need for the same -

  • IELTS: 7 and above
  • TOEFL: 100 and above

Along with an English test score, international students would also require an Entrance test like the GRE with a good score.

In the USA and Canada, TAs teach undergraduate classes. Therefore, universities are very strict about the Speaking Section. Even if your overall score is 7.5, a low speaking score (below 7.0) can disqualify you from this funding.

It is possible to receive need-based aid or specific country bursaries. Universities usually prefer candidates with a 7.0 or higher for fully funded scholarships abroad. Try to prepare well and get a good IELTS score.

Yes! If you are applying for PR in Canada or Australia your spouse can take the IELTS test too. If they get a good score (usually CLB 5 or higher), it adds valuable extra points to your main application.

Well, the IELTS score requirement is not determined by the course type but by the country's eligibility. For English speaking countries like the USA, the UK, Canada, or Australia, you will may need to appear and score in the IELTS exam. It is an eligibility condition by the country and not the course.

Most students can send five IELTS TRF copies for free if they select universities at time of booking. If you ask for Additional TRF later (INR 250 per university), you have to pay courier fee to IDP India.

You calculate IELTS overall band score by taking average of all four sections. If you check the IELTS Band Score Chart, you see that scores ending in .25 or .75 round up to next number.
