Yes. Here is how your profile affect scholarship eligibility-

60–69% in graduation: Eligible for internal scholarships (£2,000 – £5,000 automatic deduction from fees).

70% and above: Eligible for merit-based scholarships at many universities, potentially £5,000 – £15,000.

IELTS 7.0+: Some universities offer additional scholarship for high IELTS scorers.

Early applications: Applying in July–August for September intake increases your chances of early-bird scholarships at several universities.

IELTS score required depend on university and course, but here is guide-

  • 6.0 overall (no band below 5.5): Entry-level threshold for many mid-ranked universities.
  • 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0): The most common requirement across UK universities.
  • 7.0 overall (no band below 6.5): Required by Russell Group and highly competitive programmes.

If you have 6.0 bands currently, you are close — improving your Reading band from 5.5 to 6.0 while maintaining other bands at 6.5 will open up significantly more options.

Note- Shiksha Study Abroad provides free IELTS preparation classes (multiple batches) to help you improve your score.

Give yourself 60 minutes total for three passages. Spend about 20 minutes per passage. Start with the easiest one if you want. Transfer answers directly to the answer sheet as you go. No extra time at the end. Practice full reading tests under timed conditions.
