If you have IELTS of overall 6.5 and at least 6 in each category should be good, as far as IELTS eligibility is concerned. Just check for options such as Number of years of education ( example 15), Bachelors cut off if any, professional experience needed or not depending on course and respective University, GMAT score cut off as applicable.

For sure, IELTS is a widely accepted English proficiency test score. Most of the Universities need minimum of 6/9 in each category, or 6.5/9 in each category plus the overall band of 6 or 6.5. Make sure to check for University individually too to see their customized requirement. I believe, you should be taking the academic IELTS. General format for students may not be accepted. Since you can try giving test multiple times, AIMAT at least 7. Practice well and do well.

Hello Surya, Good universities abroad invariably demand an impeccable academic record. But then if your record in extra curricular activities is good then you may still have a chance. I would advise you to approach an agency dealing with sending students abroad to know details.

Hi Nirmal,
It depends on a lot of factors like which university you are applying to, the desired programme, your financial situation, career plans, etc. You know that your academic background is not too competitive, but a very exceptional personal statement, essays and recommendation letters will push your application. Your IELTS is low for an MS course, in fact, you should take TOEFL. If the course you want to do demands another test like GRE, you have to take it. After you have submitted the application, the university will send you the offer letter, it depends on the university totally. You can then apply for the visa only after you

Hi,
Your academics are good. You can look at UNSW, UWA, Australian National University, Monash University, UTS, RMIT, University of Sydney and University of Melbourne.
These are top ranked. You can apply but they are competitive.
Other schools which you can see are Griffith, La Trobe and many more. No matter where you apply, you have to check the IELTS score requirement individually on the university websites.
Sometimes universities can offer bridge courses in English if you do not meet the requirements. Normally 6.5 is required.
