IIST-Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology follows a reservation policy while allotting seats to its students. For the PG course, reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD is applicable as per Government of India Orders. Additionally, if the ST seats are vacant, it will be filled by SC category candidates.Here is a detailed break-up of the seats for the all categories:

Candidates who have a valid score in the JEE Advanced and JEE Main exams are eligible for both the BTech and BTech+Mtech degree at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology. Further, candidates are required to qualify for the eligibility criteria, i.e twelve years of school education with 75% aggregate from a recognised institution (The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PD candidates should be at least 65%). Qualified candidates must complete the IIST admission procedure and finalised their seats.

Yes, the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology does offer dual degree in BTech and MTech. The dual degree programme is offered for five years covering ten semesters. On successful completion, the students are awarded a BTech degree in Engineering Physics and MTech. degree in one of the following four postgraduate streams:
- Astronomy and Astrophysics
- Science in Solid State Physics
- Earth System Science
- Optical Engineering

Candidates with a valid score in the following exams: UGC NET/ CSIR NET/ JEST (or) GATE are eligible for the PhD at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology. Candidates must apply through the institute's official website. IIST offers PhD in regular, sponsored, and anytime mode. IIST-Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology offers MSc at postgraduate level for a duration of two years. MSc programme is offered under Master of Science in Astronomy and Astrophysics. Admission to the MSc course is merit basis. Canidates performance in the written test and Inteview are considered for selection. A valid GATE score is must for MSc admission. And fulllfill the eligibility criteria: bachelor's degree with 60% aggregate (General / EWS & OBC) and 55% (SC/ST & PwD).

Candidates must upload the required documents through the official website. Once the documents are uploaded it is verified and a provisional ADMIT CARD will be generated. Find below the list of documents:
