Firstly let me offer my heartiest congratulations on scoring such handsome marks in your Diploma exam. Yes, you indeed can get admission in IIT Mumbai. But, unfortunately IIT's don't give lateral admission. Your Diploma would be considered as equivalent to class 12th. You will have to appear for and pass with good marks JEE Mains as well as JEE Advanced. That's all. Best wishes to you.

The minimum eligibility criteria for JEE-Main is class 12th or students appearing in class 12th can also apply. Candidates must have taken 5 subjects in class XII or equivalent qualifying exam. The 5 subjects for B.Tech/ BE are:- 1-Language 2-Physics, 3-Mathematics 4-Any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject) 5-Any other subjects The 5 subjects for B.Arch/ B.Planning are: 1-Language 2-Physics 3-Mathematics (compulsory) 4-Any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject) 5-Any other subjects Further in JEE Main, Candidates can appear in the exam for three consecutive years. Any one of Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics for two years/four semesters, and any one of the other four subjects for at least one year/two semesters. In the qualifying degree, the aggregate marks or CGPA/CPI without rounding-off (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) should be at least 55% or 5.5 out of 10 for General/OBC (NCL) category candidates and 50% or 5.0 out of 10 for SC/ST and PwD categ
