Yes, you are eligible to appear for the NIMCET exam if you have completed or are in the final year of a Bachelor of Computer Applications BCA degree from a recognised university, with mathematics as a subject in 10+2 or in graduation. The fact that you have studied discrete mathematics in your first semester of BCA satisfies the mathematics requirement for the NIMCET exam. Also, you must have 60+ % in graduation as well as 10+2. Better you check the official NIMCET website for the latest criteria and regular updates.

The NIMCET (National Institute of Technology MCA Common Entrance Test) is an entrance exam for admission to the Master of Computer Applications MCA programme offered by NITs (National Institutes of Technology) in India. As per the eligibility criteria, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with Mathematics as a subject in 10+2 or graduation level. No, a written test (online Computer based test) is the first step if you go for MCA in a prestigious institutes ex. NITs. Otherwise, you can get direct admission to private colleges if seats are available.

Pondicherry University is a good university for pursuing MCA with a decent faculty and curriculum. As for the placements, it largely depends on the performance of the students and the market demand. The university has a placement cell that helps students with job opportunities, but it is advisable to do your own research and preparation to enhance your chances of getting placed.
