Yes. The students who require a visa to study in Germany need a blocked account. The Federal German Embassy requests students to open a blocked account with a deposit amount of EUR 11,904 (Around INR 13 L). This amount allow students for a withdraw amount of up to EUR 992 per month (Around INR 1.05 L). The blocked amount is required to make sure that enough funds are available to study in Germany.
