It depends on the Community and availability of the department you want to choose. Mostly, if you belong to General Community, it is better to lose hope, because it is extremely rare to get into NIT with that rank.

In class 12th, you must have to score at least 75% marks to get admission into NIT's or IIIT's. It is just a qualification criteria, ranks are not determined by the board marks. Minimum percentage of 75 should be there to join in these institutions.
