If you are willing to clear the JEE Mains cut-off by dropping one year, its a good decision. You have to do work hard and with more effectiveness. The cut-off is keep on changing with years .It doesn't remain fixed. You just prepare well and give your best.

As per your marks in JEE Main paper 2, your chances are nil for getting NIT Trichi, so look forward for other colleges.
All the best.

Yes, you might get some NITs. But, you cannot get a good course and a good NIT. You may get NIT Srinagar, Mizoram, Tripura, Manipur etc. They are not better than top NITs, but if you can go and study there, then you can have a brand name of NITs.
I'm not sure about their placements and education, but I'm sure the education will be better. They don't come in any sort of national rankings. These NITs will be in the last 20 NITs.

As per your marks in JEE Mains, your chances are very slim for getting any good college. However, you have scored very well in your boards. So, it will be better for you to wait and prepare well for next year.
All the best.
