For admission in Maharashtra, you should clear MHCET which can give you an opportunity to pursue your studies from a good college.

Yes, sure if you have not cleared JEE Mains, it's better to drop 1-year or you can join a good private college like LPU, VIT, SRM, BITS, etc. If you have given the entrance exam for the respective college.
All the best.

As you can see the ads in the newspapers, the top scorers are from the coaching centres at Kota. Allen, Resonance, etc., so you choose any one of your choice.
Above all, you also need to work hard. They can only guide you in a proper manner and practice. Your contribution is very important.
All the best.

Obviously, GATE exam is tougher than JEE Mains exam. JEE Mains involves the concepts and problems at the basic level (11th &12th NCERT syllabus), but JEE Advanced will be tougher.
In case of GATE exam, the questions will be based on the concepts from engineering level (from your B.Tech syllabus). So it will be very difficult when compared to JEE Mains.
JEE Advanced will be tough for a candidate who aspires to become an engineer.
All the best.

Yes, your rank is good. You can try for good college, you have to take a chance in good college according to your branch preferences, then it will confirm that college is good or not according to your branch.
