Hello niharika. There are lots of NITs and each has different cutoff ranks for different branches. So whether or not you'll get admission in one depends upon which state you belong to, which state you want to take admission in and what branch you want.
You can check you expected rank here:
https://www.shiksha.com/jee-main-rank-predictor
Apart from NITs, there are other colleges that take admission through JEE mains score, like DTU, NSIT, Jamia Milia, Jaypee etc. Or else you can take other tests like bits, Manipal, srm, IPU etc to get admission into these colleges.

Hey Tanmay,
Your score doesn't assure you to get admission in best schools but this is not the end. There are certain best universities which conduct their own entrance examination and and consider your performance to admit as well as reward you. You can check out these universities.

Dropping an year means an extra expense of about 1.5lac plus you would be losing an opportunity to earn 12 lac extra. I mean if you can do your Btech within nxt 4 yrs and get placed into a firm you wud b getting about 10 2 12 lac in the 5th year.
Better go on for a reputed private institute.
good luck .
