As we know that

v=γRTM Speed of sound in a gas, and

vrms=3RTM Rms speed of gas molecules, so

vrms=2v3RTM=2γRTMγ=32

According formula of specific heat ratio of mixture, we can write

 5n = 14 n = 2.8

m = 5 * 10-17kg ; k = 1.38 * 10-23 Jk-1

n 1 = 1 m o n o t o m i c

n 2 = 3 d i a t o m i c C v = α 2 R 4 J / m o l k

As, Cv (mix) = 1 * 3 2 R + 3 * 5 2 R 4 = 9 R 4 = α 2 R 4

α = 3

V r m s α T | T i = 1 2 7 ° C = 4 0 0 k .

V r m s 1 = 2 V r m s , m = 0 . 0 5 6 k g = 5 6 g

Tf = 4Ti = 4 * 400 = 1600 k

Q = n c v Δ T = ( m M ) C v Δ T

( 5 6 2 8 ) 5 2 R Δ T

2 * 5 2 * 2 * 1 2 0 0

Q = 12 * 103 cal

= 12 k cal

According to question, we can write

Total moles of gas = n = nOxygen + nOxygen162+12832=12moles

Volume of gas = 12 * 22.4 litre = 268.8 litre = 2.688 * 105 cm3 27*104cm3

The average kinetic energy (per molecule)of any (ideal) gas (be it monoatomic like Argon, diatomic like oxygen or polyatomic) is always equal to 32KBT. If depends only on temperature, and is independent of the nature of the gas. So, Answer is 1 : 1.

Degree of freedom, f = 8

CV=82R=4RandCP=4R+R=5R

So, H = ΔU+W

at constant pressure, W = PΔv

150 = nRΔT

So,  H=nCVΔT=n5RΔT=5 (nRΔT)

= 5 * 150

= 750 J
