No Rajani, sorry to say, but neither will be NIOS acceptable not will Diploma. NIOS still can be considered after an evaluation or assessment by the universities, but Diplomas don't qualify for further studies. You have to clear the IIT-JEE Advance or study the first year of a B.Tech programme in India to be eligible. Or, you think of applying to other countries like Poland, Ireland, Denmark, Netherlands, Australia etc.

The next step that you may opt for is to continue the same and get the Master's Degree in English (H). Thereafter, you may become a lecturer, or you may go for B.Ed, and then again move into academics.

You have many options for the same. Any of the Central Universities you look into, they provide Honors degree for both these courses. Let it be DU, BHU, AMU GGV, JNU etc.
