It all depends on the type of exam you are taking.
If you are preparing for SSC/Bank then go for corrective grammar by Ajay Kr. Singh. It is very easy to understand. For practice and command buy, A mirror of common error by Ashok Kr Singh and English is easy by B.Sc publication. If you are preparing for some other higher level exams then do read answers given by other Quorans. I would strongly recommend to read Raymond Murphy and PC Wren.

Yes, you can surely pursue a course in English literature after class 12th not being from the arts stream. Hi,
English Literature definitely has an edge over philosophy for sure. An English Literature or Philosophy degree qualifies you for any number of careers that have no specific skill set. Basically, it is a degree that assures potential. For instance, many people think you must have a degree to do job, but most entry-level jobs have such a steep learning curve that the need for a specific degree is obviated. Lots of English and Liberal Arts Major are doing jobs in marketing, communications, sales, etc.

Hi, I doubt there is. All UG courses are taught in German and medical courses in particular are very strict. Also to get the visa good German language skills are mandatory.

Not exactly necessary, but as you can think of, it would be difficult for you to get equipped with the basic knowledge of your own course. So, I will suggest you to learn German for your own enhancement. And, so that you can easily be placed in any of the firms of Germany easily.
