First of all, education is not a waste of time, indeed an investment for future and career. Secondly, no short term certificate course can be equivalent to a Master's degree.

English Section
Social Sciences/ Current Affairs
History
Colleges which provide admission to Masters in History through Entrance Exams are:
St. Xavier's College, Mumbai
University of Delhi
Jamia Millia Islamia
Jawaharlal Nehru University
Direct admission- Some colleges also offer direct admission to this course. Colleges that offer Direct Admission to this course are:

For admission in M.A. in Modern History, you need to appear for JNUEEE exam. Admission is based on the rank Entrance exam and Deprivation points awarded, if applicable.
Separate merit lists are prepared for each category i.e. candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PH categories.

You can pursue MA Psychology from IGNOU. It's a distance learning program. Eligibility is graduation (any stream) from a recognized University. Program duration : Minimum 2years. and maximum 5 years. Program fees 13000/-
Admission intake - twice a year. (January and June).
