In an SOP for Master's in Canada, avoid casual language or slang. Avoid personal or family matters, steer clear of monotonous or haphazard structure. Do not discuss extensively a low GPA or any other application flaws.
There is no need to mention fantasies from your youth or unachievable aspirations. Avoiding these errors will improve your chances of writing a solid, concentrated, and persuasive SOP that clearly explains why you are the ideal applicant for the programme you are applying to.
