It's okay if you have an academic record that's not as attractive. While academics are a core factor while evaluating a student's profile for admissions, they are still not the sole deciding factor. Deakin follows a holistic approach with its admission criteria, meaning that as long as a student has an attractive record of co-curricular participation, strong references, and meets the minimum grade requirements of the university (GPA of 2.6 in high school), one is good to go!

The Michigan State University uses a holistic approach while evaluating the profiles of the candidates who applied. However, while not the sole deciding factor, academics do prove to be one of the major criteria. International students must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher with strong grade performance. So you can get into MSU with even a 2.5 GPA.

According to the official website of the University of Nebraska - Omaha, the minimum GPA needed to secure admission is 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Despite its acceptance rate of 87%, students are still required to maintain a solid academic background to have the best possible chances of admission. UNO Omaha also accepts SAT and ACT scores.

Students are encouraged to maintain a strong GPA to increase their chances of acceptance at one of the top business schools in the USA. Yes, US universities usually ask for a 4-point GPA, but they understand Indian students have CGPA on their transcripts. Many universities accept marksheets directly, while some may request GPA conversion using official evaluation services or guidelines.
