If you score more than 85%, there are 80% chance that you might get admission in the course.
I left the 20% because there might be some chances that the seats might get filled soon depending on how many apply for that course.

Hi,
It depends on you whether you want to pursue it from Private or Government colleges. Private colleges have higher fees but you can do M.Sc. From Government colleges in a lower fee and can get a placement if you do from top colleges. There is an exam IIT JAM conducted for M.Sc. Admission in top colleges of India like IITs, NITs, IISc, etc. You can appear in this exam if you are eligible and wish to do M.Sc. From such top colleges.

Hi, If you have completed your M.Sc. In Maths and want to go for research, there is an exam CSIR NET in which you can appear. You should opt for CSIR NET JRF and after qualifying this exam you can pursue your research and apply for Ph.D.

In the book by Dubey and Maheshwari, there is a little less explanation of specific topics, especially the general microbiology part. Whereas, the book by Ananthanarayan and Paniker, is presented in a simple understanding language and manner. This book is more useful, hence I would suggest you to go for this one.

As you have already done M.Sc. IT, why are you interested in doing M.Tech. If you want to study further then do Ph.D. in IT or go for MBA or certifications.
All the best.
