Yes, there is a seat reservation for the mTech course. MIT Art Design and Technology University follows the reservation Policy as prescribed by the Government of Maharashtra. Forty percent of the seats are reserved for the students domiciled in the State of Maharashtra. That means sixty percent of seats are open. Those seats can be allotted to anyone, including Maharashtra Candidates, as these seats are not reserved for OMS.

The seat intake for M.Tech course at MIT School of Food Technology is around 36. M.Tech in Food Technology and Food Safety & Quality Management are offered under the school. To secure M.Tech seats candidates must have a valid qualification and entrance exam score. MIT ADT University Pune also accepts national-level exams for admission to the M.Tech course.

Eligibility Criteria: BTech / BE (Food Science / Food Technology) or four years' equivalent degree programme in Food Science and Food Technology passed with 50% aggregate (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category)
