Yes, of course! Mass communication is available. But it is along with journalism. For getting admission, you must qualify the entrance test. There are three papers all of 100 marks each. For more details, please check on this link:

You can basically pursue it after 12. For this, you must choose PCM in 11. You can opt for any degree course in Mass communication.

If your question pertains to the eligibility to get a Job in Journalism and Mass Media domain, then, My answer will be a well observed number. There's no need to do a Degree just to get a job in Mass Media. But of course, the opportunity to learn about Mass Media. Now comes when you are doing a formal course, there are millions who are in Media with and without a degree. It is not important to have a degree.

The question is a common query on Shiksha and on many other platforms. It is often asked by the students as well. The Name- ' nomenclature' is given to a course by a University which has the right to do so. The equality of the course has to be determined though with other Institutions. M.A. In Mass Comm, or M.A in mass communication and Journalism are same. I have done an M.A in Journalism and Mass Communication which is same as well as equal to an M.A. In Mass Comm. Even the M.A in Media Studies shall be considered equal and same.

Hi,

It is a regular course and even if any college is offering a correspondence course, I would not recommend you to go for it. Public relations is an intensive course and will not help in career growth if done through correspondence.
