You should have excellent knowledge of mathematical concepts like linear algebra, calculus, and probability and statistics. All of this is important to understand how algorithms function, how deep learning models are built and customized and how to troubleshoot potential issues.

While you can start preparing for the SSC CGL exam right after your 12th (math stream), it's important to note that you'll need a Bachelor's degree to be eligible for the exam itself. Some courses that can be pursued after 12th that align with the SSC CGL exam include those in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Commerce, as these may provide a strong foundation for some of the exam's sections.

It is likely that you can get admission into St. Joseph's Degree College for a BSc in Mathematics with 900 marks in class 12th, but it depends on the specific college and its admission criteria. While a score of 900 out of 1200 (75%) is generally competitive, it's crucial to check the college's official website for their minimum eligibility requirements and the merit list cutoff for the BSc Maths program.

Mathematics does not usually form part of the UGC NET subject list since this subject comes under the domain of the CSIR NET (Council of Scientific & Industrial Research - National Eligibility Test). The CSIR NET is a specifically held test on the subject of sciences along with Mathematical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences and Physical Sciences. UGC NET on the other hand is principally subjects on Humanities, Social Sciences, Languages, Commerce and other non-science subjects and are targeted to be eligible as Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship in the respective subjects.
