IIT Jammu Courses & Fees 2026
IIT Jammu extends a range of PG, UG, and other courses to students across the streams of Engineering, Physics, etc. and include courses such as BTech and BS at the UG level, while PG level courses include MTech, MSc, etc. These courses are extended across a range of specialisations with the BTech course in particular being extended across specialisations of Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.

IIT Jammu placements for 2026 are still ongoing, so far 315 offers have been extended to students by more than 210 companies.
IIT Jammu has released its placement highlights for 2025. The highest and lowest package recorded during IIT Jammu MTech placements 2025 was INR 48 LPA and INR 5 LPA, respectively. While, the highest average package for MTech was INR 24.96 LPA.
For Btech, the highest average package recorded was for CSE which stood at INR 26.6 LPA. The average package for Chemical Engineering and Civil Engineering was INR 10.5 LPA and INR 9.5 LPA, respectively. Furthermore, the average package recorded for Electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Materials Engineering offered in 2026 was INR INR 14.3 LPA, INR 12 LPA and INR 12.1 LPA, respectively.

IIT Jammu Application Process
The Jammu application process is carried out in online mode. An application is completed only after the payment of the required application fee. - For BTech, B.S, aspirants need to fill the application form for JEE (Main) through the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) (nta.ac.in), followed by registration for JEE Advanced. Check below application fee for JEE Main:

IIT Jammu Selection Process and Final Seat Allotment
Students can check course-wise eligibility and selection criteria below:
- BTech/ BS - To be eligible fpr BTech and BS at IIT Jammu, students must pass Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The final selection is based on JEE Main + JEE Advanced. For final seat allotment in BTech course, students must participate in JoSAA Counselling.
- MTech - For MTech admission, BE/ BTech/ MSc in relevant discipline with at least 60%-65% aggregate (5% relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ PwD/ EWS candidates) is required along with valid GATE scores + COAP Counselling.
- MSc - To get admission to an MSc programme at IIT Jammu, students must qualify for the IIT JAM (Joint Admission test for Masters) examination, meet the minimum undergraduate requirements, and participate in the centralised JAM counseling process for seat allocation.
Admission Confirmation
Candidates selected after all the selection rounds can confirm their admission /seat by paying the required IIT Jammu fee. Students have to report at IIT Jammu for verification of documents. Students must bring along several documents including marksheets, passport-sized photo, entrance exam scorecard/ counselling letter, and fee receipt.
