Math and Statistics can rightfully be called the foundational pillars of Deep Learning. You should have excellent knowledge of mathematical concepts like linear algebra, calculus, and probability and statistics. All of this is important to understand how algorithms function, how deep learning models are built and customized and how to troubleshoot potential issues.

Yes, as per the Thakur School of Architecture and Planning BArch eligibility criteria, students must have completed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Other than these, students must also have opted for any one out of the list of elective subjects prescribed by the institute. Even the Diploma holders must have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject.

Mathematics does not usually form part of the UGC NET subject list since this subject comes under the domain of the CSIR NET (Council of Scientific & Industrial Research - National Eligibility Test). The CSIR NET is a specifically held test on the subject of sciences along with Mathematical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences and Physical Sciences. UGC NET on the other hand is principally subjects on Humanities, Social Sciences, Languages, Commerce and other non-science subjects and are targeted to be eligible as Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship in the respective subjects.

In case of B.Sc. Computer Science in Quantum University, direct eligibility criterion is not fulfilled by PCB in 12 th without Mathematics. Computer Science PCM is expected in B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics at Quantum University. In B.Sc. in IT or BCA which falls under the category of computer related course, minimum requirement is 10+2 with computer application subject or mathematics as one of the options as subjects.
