No, it is mandatory to have Mathematics as a compulsory subject in the 12th or Diploma programme. Without this subject, candidates will not be allowed to fill in the NATA 2023 application form.

The Maths paper is common for Army, Navy and Air Force wings in NDA exam. The standard of questions is basically of Class 10, 11, and 12 levels. The Maths paper carries 300 marks. 0.83 marks are deducted for wrong answers in Maths and 2.5 marks are awarded for correct answers. The Maths section carries 120 questions. The test paper carries questions from Algebra Calculus, Matrices and Determinants Integral Calculus and Differential Equations Trigonometry Vector Algebra Analytical Geometry Of Two and Three Dimension and Statistics and Probability.
