Prompt Engineering is more about the smart use of natural language and understanding AI behavior than mathematical calculations. A good command over Mathematics can surely be a plus point for you in the case of advanced-level prompting, working with datasets, or AI research and lead to better career prospects, but it is not a compulsory requirement to excel in the profession.

No, Maths is not mandatory.
For BHU's B.Com (Hons.) in Financial Markets Management, you're eligible if you had any of these in 12th: Commerce, Economics, Maths, Computer Science, Finance, or related vocational subjects. So a Commerce student without Maths is still very much eligible.
