Based on the results of the NIMCET exam, the NIT Warangal MCA cutoff is determined. For admission to their MCA programme, NITs administer the national-level NIMCET (NIT MCA Common Entrance Exam). The amount of candidates, the test's level of difficulty, and other variables change the cutoff each year. The MCA cutoff rank at NIT Warangal in 2021 was 136. The cutoff rank for 2020 was 95. Due to its repute and excellent standards of instruction, NIT Warangal's cutoff rank is typically higher than those of other NITs. To gain admission to NIT Warangal, applicants are recommended to aim for a good NIMCET result.

CSJM B.Tech, B.Pharma MBA, and MCA admissions are offered on the basis of UPCET (formerly known as UPSEE) entrance exam scores followed by counselling. Candidates seeking admission to the MBBS and BDS programs need to have a valid score in the NEET-UG entrance examination. Admission to MD and MS in Clinical & Basic Science is based on the NEET PG scores, while DM M.Ch. Admission is based on NEET SS scores. Admission to the remaining CSJM courses is granted on the basis of an entrance test conducted by the university.

I can tell from my experience - I did B.Com and then MCA. Only because I had Business Mathematics as a subject in my 2nd year, I was able to get admission for MCA. In our class, 60 candidates were admitted, out of which 6 were non-computer Science background students (from under graduation like B.Com B.Sc. Physics etc. ), and within the 1st semester 4 guys discontinued as they were not able to understand the basic concepts in Computer Science.
