No doubt, it's AKGEC. They provide the best facilities, but most of the students prepare for GATE to get decent packages.

Hello Rishikesh,
Both colleges are good. Both Colleges are affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. Now let us see at rankings and accreditation of both colleges. KK Wagh was established in 1984. KK Wagh was ranked 85th in NIRF 2016 Rankings. KK Wagh is NAAC Accredited with 'B+' Grade. Overall it is a good college. Now Comes Dy Patil College of Engineering, Akurdi, Pune. DY Patil Akurdi was established in 1984. It NAAC Accredited with 'A' Grade. Dy Patil is one of the top Engineering Colleges of Pune. Now which is better? Both KK Wagh and DY Patil is good. For MASc:
You will be working as a Research Assistant in a lab under some professor's supervision. To fulfill the academic requirement, you have to do five courses and a Thesis. If you have any plans of doing Ph.D. in the future especially in Canada, you should definitely opt for this course. Also, if you are focused on what topic you want to do for your Masters programme, then I would suggest going for MASc and doing research on your field of interest. Learn trade skills of research
Learn how publication of paper works
gets an in-depth knowledge of a concept. Learn how to be patient.
You will have to write a well structured Thesis, and yo

See AKG is better as compared to KIET as in KIET the environment is not worth it. Placements at AKG are good. They have tie-ups with companies in all the stream and that's why placements is always good for the AKG as compared to KIET.

All you need is a one-year specialised course. A one-year Graduate Marine Engineering (GME) course after mechanical engineering would give students the licence to enter merchant navy. This one-year GME course is all you need to become a marine engineer after doing mechanical engineering.

Hi,
First know the pro and cons of it:-
Pros:
We have one of the best Robotics team. The boys have done pretty well with Go Cart. We have best sport culture. Our Kho-Kho team was runner up in Pune university in 2015 Inter college matches. Every year GCOERA conducts Cultural and technical events.
Cons:
I agree that the college lags somewhere comparatively with other colleges in Pune in terms of Placement and environment, which is needed for personality development. As it is in rural place, so you will have to suffer in few sense, but that is what life is all about, adjustment. Hope this will help you.

Yes, you may have an option to convert your status from regular to a private student. For this, do talk to your college management and after that, go to university for private or part-time BE.
