Mechanical Engineering is a core and evergreen branch. Almost all core industries and manufacturing units makes use of machines. Thus, for functioning and maintenance of machines, qualified Mechanical Engineers are needed by such Industries!
The point is- there are ample amounts of job opportunities for B.E./B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering graduates in Government as well as Private sector. When it comes to Government sector, organizations and departments like- Indian Railways, DRDO, Indian Armed Forces, BHEL, PWD, NHAI, State Wise Road Transport boards etc recruits Mechanical Engineers.
Private sector offers even more job opportunities. S

You have finished Diploma and now seeking information as to what crash course yo do. Right? What is your aim? What are you dreaming? A job? Higher studies ? After diploma there are plenty of certificate courses are available that you can do. Just download brochure of IGNOU & have a look. Select any cert course that you like.

Hello Raquib,
If you are going to join TCS in a month's time, I would strongly advise you to learn something new that can relax you. Like singing, playing an instrument, learning to play badminton or squash or swimming, etc. This will come in handy during high-pressure job in TCS.

Hello Santosh,
It all depends on a particular college and facilities available in that college. It's not available in all colleges. First check which college is offering it and then seek admission after enquiring about all aspects.

Hi Parth,
This is your personal decision. If you are really fond of automotive engineering and want to specialize in only this field, go ahead. If you want to a wider knowledge of ME related things in general then choose ME. You must still opt for a specialization though. It is to you totally. Germany is a great place for these fields so just go ahead with your interests and career plans.

Technical education courses shouldn't be done through distance course. Firstly in cut throat competition of around 6 lakh mechanical engineers each year you may stand nowhere. Secondly, Supreme Court may take a decision on this.
