There is a general shortage of doctors in India. Admission in MBBS is based on the entrance examination in a majority of states. If you are able to crack the medical entrance exam, it is a better option in comparison to B.Sc.

If you want to pursue MBBS/BDS/Ayurveda you have appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) which has already taken place for the year 2017. Apart from those colleges if you want to study in AIIMS, JIPMER, etc., you have to appear for their entrance exams. The syllabus and format of question paper can be obtained easily from the internet.

These days seats in all medical colleges are filled up based on ranking in NEET. I am afraid if you have not given NEET you can not get admission in medical.

I feel BHMS is a good field. Nehru Homeopathy Hospital under DU is an extremely good college for the same. Homeopathy is gaining a lot of importance these days and its growing at a tremendous rate. So, Ayurveda switching these professions is a really good idea because of its low side effects and much lower cost in comparison to the modern MBBS.
