In contrast, NIT Durgapur has a total tuition fee of INR 30,000 and a rating of 4.0 out of 5. While, the NIT Rourkela MSc tuition fee ranges between INR 30,000 and INR 75,000 with a rating of 4.3 out of 5. In general, NIT Rourkela provides a better return in terms of the overall rating and affordability compared to IIEST Shibpur.

The selection process for NIT Durgapur's Integrated BSc + MSc course is entrance-based. Candidates seeking admission to the five-year, integrated course must appear for JEE (Main). After appearing for the exam, they must register for JoSAA/CSAB counselling for seat allocation. Based on their rank in JEE (Main), a merit list of shortlisted candidates will be released. Those who manage to get shortlisted must confirm their admission by submitting the prescribed fee.

  • They must have passed Class 12 with Chemistry as a complusory subject

The total tuition fee for the Integrated BSc + MSc programme at NIT Durgapur is INR 75,000 for five years. Additionally, selected candidates are required a one-time fee of INR 15,500. NIT Durgapur does not provide a BSc programme, but an Integrated BSc + MSc programme in Chemistry. The duration of the programme is five years. It leads to a dual-degree, i.e. a BSc and an MSc degree in Chemistry. NITD has an intake of 19 students for the five-year programme. Admission to the programme is based on JEE (Main) ranks and seats are allocated through JoSAA/CSAB counselling.

  • Passport size colour recent photograph (<500kb)
  • Scanned signature (<100kb)
  • Date of Birth certificate/proof issued by competent authority
