Yes, you can get fashion designing. Please check last merit rank admitted in 2017 at http://nift.ac.in. You may not get the top 5 colleges but still you can go for 2nd round of counselling. All the best for your admission.

NIFT Design Entrance Exam

My common merit rank in NIFT is 5135. Can I get any NIFT campus or not for doing B.Des?

If you are from general category then no you can't get any college, but if you are from reserved category or state domicile then you can get some colleges but not the top 5 one. You can also go for the 2nd round of counselling.

I got 6950 in common merit rank and 336 ST category rank in NIFT. Can I participate 1st counselling round based on my category rank?

Hi Kavya,
You can pursue one year Diploma courses in fashion/interior/jewellery designing courses instead of wasting one years and even can do short-term computer courses.
