It is not about art. It is about creativity and your uniqueness. Firstly, stop underestimating yourself, you never know how talented you may turn up. Secondly, SAT is not just about art, it is more about time management, material utilization, technicality and 3-D concept. And fashion communication includes visual merchandising in which you will need to make a lot of 3-D models and all. In fact 3-D model i. e. a prototype is basically a core part of designing. Yes,
You are free to choose the campus you want with the available options with your rank. Counselling session happens rank wise. And as the rank goes lower and lower, seats get filled up and when your turn comes up, at that point, whichever campus are left as option, you'll have to choose out of them. So basically the better the rank, the more the options.

Hi Gautami,
NIFT Entrance Exam is split into 2 phases:
Phase 1: Written Exam (February) consisting of 2 papers of 100 marks each
GAT (General Ability Test): 150 Objective questions 2 hours
CAT (Creative Ability Test): 3-4 Questions 3 hours
The GAT tests each students ability in Quantitative Math, Analytical Reasoning, English Communication, English Comprehension and General Knowledge
The CAT tests each students ability in Design Problem Solving, Visual Sense, Observation & Perception, Environmental Awareness, Mental Ability and Communication skills through a range of visual and textual questions. Phase 2: It consists of 2 hour Situation

Yes you will have to appear for both; CAT (Creative Ability Test) as well as GAT (General Ability Test). These are followed by a situation test. You can find a detailed information about the exam by visiting this page https://www.shiksha.com/design/exams/nift-entrance-exam.

Well you cannot get admission in NIFT without appearing for it's entrance exam. So you can drop a year and appear for it next year i.e. 2019.

Yes it is possible but NIFT entrance exam happens in the month of February every year. So you can definitely do B.Des from NIFT, it's just that you'll have to drop a year and appear for the exam next year i.e. February 2019.

The admissions are already going on in NIFT. The entrance exam for the lateral entry happens somewhere in the month of May. Please connect with the college to get clear and precise information about the same.

Hi Shreya,
The dates for results are not yet announced but according to the admission cell the results are expected to be out in February or March. Since this month is almost at its end you can expect it to be out next month.
