There is no age bar for applying to the Masters Programmes in NIFT. Eligibility for Masters Programmes Design, Management and TechnologyDesign M.Des Master of Design
Candidates must have successfully completed any of the following:
Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute University recognised by law in India or
Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT NID.

Yes, you can become a fashion designer without taking the NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) exam. It is not the end of the world if you cannot crack the National Institute of Fashion Technology. You may get admission to any other institute to complete the course and become a designer. As per India Today Rankings 2021, the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi, is the best institute with Rank 1, followed by the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bengaluru, with Rank 2, and the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Chennai, with Rank 3. The Master of Fashion Management MFM is a two-year programme. National Institute of Fashion Technology Eligibility Criteria for Bachelors in Fashion Technology:
