Both these law schools are at par with each other, be it academics, mooting (though GNLU is doing substantially better of late), placements (NLU-J takes this one, but it’s all about the batch size) and other basic criteria. The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) released CLAT 2023 Allotment Lists for admission to BA LLB (Hons) course offered at various NLUs. The closing rank for NLU Kochi was 1461 after the R5 results. National Law University (NLU) Delhi will release the BA LLB answer keys for AILET 2027 in December 2027. NLU Delhi releases the provisional answer key for AILET first, after which it opens a window to invite objections. After receiving the objection, the final AILET answer key will be published.

National Law University Kolkata, being a University of National importance since it's a NLU, offers great packages to its students be it in the BA LLB (Hons) or be it in LLM . Nalsar University stands behind NLU Kolkata (NUJS) with a great placement record over the years. In the year of 2022 NLU Kolkata placement stats were great with 96 out of 118 BA LLB students getting placed with a median package of 16pla. Out of 66 LLM students 44 students were placed with a median package of 7 lpa, which is respectable in itself.

The NLU Nagpur placement report has not been released yet on the official website. Once it is released, the placement rate will be updated here. However, as per the NLU Nagpur NIRF report 2022, 10 students were placed out of total 54 students in 2021. Thus, NLU Nagpur recorded nearly 19% placements in the academic year 2020-2021.
