Hello Nishar Ahmed, Indian Law Institute located in New Delhi and National Law University which is also located in Delhi are major institutes importing teaching of different courses of law. The former is deemed to be university in the government domain where as the latter is in the private domain and is supported by different state governments where these are located to the extent they can but of course not fully. Result of this, fees of NLU are invariably higher than those charged by ILI. The fees for LLM in ILI are INR 92000.00 while in NLU, a student (non hosteler) needs to pay INR 1,39,000.00 Similarly for doctoral studies first year fees at ILI is INR 37,000.00 for first year, while in NLU it is INR 1,50,000.00

Thus it can be seen that the difference is substantial in one case and not so substantial in other case, but it definitely is higher in NLU.

Hello Nishar Ahmed, as part of reforms in the teaching of law, many National Law Universities were set up. One in each state. The concerned state government funds these universities and hence their fees etc. are very minimal. However, these have made a name for themselves in a very short period. As a result of this, many top-notch recruiters come to these NLUs during placements season. As far as the situation in Delhi is concerned, NLU, Delhi placements often fetch higher median salary as compared with Indian Law Institute, a much older establishment. For example, in case of LLM students, median salary is about INR 6LPA in ILS while it's about INR 10LPA in case of NLU Delhi. A similar situation can be observed in the case of law graduation students also. So if you want to join an institution where during placements, students get higher median salary, you must join NLU Delhi.
