Yes, Faculty of Law Calcutta University is as good as NLU Kolkata. Faculty of law was ranked #28 out of 38 law college in India and is at number 2 and in calcutta. Is a well reputed Institute as NUJS. The median package offered to BA+LLB and PG students during the recent placements drive 2022 were INR 7.84 LPA and INR 9.20 LPA, respectively. The placements of this Institute are also good. Majority of the students got placed. The overall Institute is also good if we see other factors also such as faculties, infrastructure, reviews etc. So for any student trying to make his/ her career in the field of law, this Institute will be tha best

In Faculty of Law, Calcutta University, 95 BA LLB and 4,201 PG (2-year) students were placed during 2022 placements. The median package offered to BA LLB and PG (2-year) students during Faculty of Law, University of Calcutta placements 2022 was 7.84 Lacs per annum and 9.20 Lacs per annum, respectively.
The college had 100% placement records for the past few years. The average package ranged between 14-18 Lacs per annum by national law firms and 46-48 Lacs per annum by international law firms. The top recruiting companies are Trilegal, Khaitan & Co., SAM, CAM and other law firms.

Hello Nishar Ahmed, Indian Law Institute located in New Delhi and National Law University which is also located in Delhi are major institutes importing teaching of different courses of law. The former is deemed to be university in the government domain where as the latter is in the private domain and is supported by different state governments where these are located to the extent they can but of course not fully. Result of this, fees of NLU are invariably higher than those charged by ILI. Hello Nishar Ahmed, as part of reforms in the teaching of law, many National Law Universities were set up. One in each state. The concerned state government funds these universities and hence their fees etc. are very minimal. However, these have made a name for themselves in a very short period. As a result of this, many top-notch recruiters come to these NLUs during placements season. As far as the situation in Delhi is concerned, NLU, Delhi placements often fetch higher median salary as compared with Indian Law Institute, a much older establishment. Both are good institutions of learning.
But it can be better to study at National law University, Delhi. Faculty of law, AMU can be taken as a second option. AMU is good in teaching but it is like Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) which is not comparable with IITs.
Studying at NLU has many relative advantages than studying at AMU. It will give you wide exposure to the world if ideas and learning and also facilitate you in learning other things. You can also easily participate and observe or attend courts at Delhi high court and the Supreme court of India
