Both GNLU Gandhinagar and NLU Kolkata are reputed law universities in India and are preferred by students. However, NLU Kolkata is better in terms of placement than the former.
Both universities accept entrance examination for admission in the respective course.
BSC.LLB at GNLU Gandhinagar is approximately INR 6 Lacs for the entire course.
BSC.LLB at NLU Kolkata is INR 3.66 Lacs approximately.

There were five rounds of NLU Counselling in 2023. The counselling process was conducted online and concluded in June 2023. The NLU Counselling process for 2024 is ongoing, with the fourth round of seat allotment scheduled for May 20th, 2024.

NLSIU Bangalore cutoff 2025 has been released for admission to several courses at the UG level. The cutoff has been released as opening and closing ranks for different categories of students belonging to the AI quota. During the NLSIU Bangalore CLAT cutoff 2025, the lowest cutoff rank was 112 for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.).

MNLU Nagpur cutoff 2024 is out for CLAT Round 3 as of now. Earlier for the academic year 2023-24, MNLU Nagpur CLAT cutoff 2023 was concluded after Round 4 of the Seat Allotment Result for most of the NLUs. According to the NIRF report 2023, a total of 5026 students were placed during the 2022 placement drive at Calcutta University. The median package offered to BA LLB and LLM students was INR 9.20 LPA. However, there is no placement cell at the Faculty of Law, and most students practice in court or pursue higher studies.
On the other hand, NUJS Kolkata placements 2022 concluded with a total of 118 job offers from 24 recruiters. Among them 80 offers were accepted by the 2022 graduating batch. For BA LLB, NLU Kolkata will be a better option than the Faculty of Law, Calcutta. This can be justified by seeing the rankings of the Institutes. NLU Kolkata is ranked #1 in West Bengal and # 5 out of 30 in India by NIRF. Faculty of Law, CU was ranked #2 in West Bengal and # 28 out of 39 in India by IIRF. It can be seen that NLU is a better ranked Institute. The placement packages of NLU are also better than the Faculty of Law CU. The fees of NLU is a little more than CU but the returns are also high. So overall it can be said that NLU is better than CU for BA LLB.
