The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is mandatory for admission to the Master of Laws (LLM) course at NALSAR University of Law. The NIRF ranking for 2023 mentions NALSAR Hyderabad as third among the best law schools in the nation. Candidates who have obtained 55% or more marks at LLB or other equivalent degrees become eligible for the exam. Both GNLU Gandhinagar and NLU Kolkata are reputed law universities in India and are preferred by students. However, NLU Kolkata is better in terms of placement than the former. 

Both universities accept entrance examination for admission in the respective course. 

BSC.LLB at GNLU Gandhinagar is approximately INR 6 Lacs for the entire course. 

BSC.LLB at NLU Kolkata is INR 3.66 Lacs approximately.

NLSIU Bangalore cutoff 2025 has been released for admission to several courses at the UG level. The cutoff has been released as opening and closing ranks for different categories of students belonging to the AI quota. During the NLSIU Bangalore CLAT cutoff 2025, the lowest cutoff rank was 112 for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.).

MNLU Nagpur cutoff 2024 is out for CLAT Round 3 as of now. Earlier for the academic year 2023-24, MNLU Nagpur CLAT cutoff 2023 was concluded after Round 4 of the Seat Allotment Result for most of the NLUs. NLU Assam CLAT cutoff 2026 is now out for all rounds regarding admission to the BA LLB (Hons) and LLM courses. For the General AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 1322 to 2049, with the LLM course and its various specialisations being the tougher courses for enrolment. 

On the other hand, for the General HS quota, the overall cutoff ranged from 1563  to 3519, with the LLM course and its branches also being the more competitive courses for this category.

In Faculty of Law, Calcutta University, 95 BA LLB and 4,201 PG (2-year) students were placed during 2022 placements. The median package offered to BA LLB and PG (2-year) students during Faculty of Law, University of Calcutta placements 2022 was 7.84 Lacs per annum and 9.20 Lacs per annum, respectively. 

The college had 100% placement records for the past few years. The average package ranged between 14-18 Lacs per annum by national law firms and 46-48 Lacs per annum by international law firms. The top recruiting companies are Trilegal, Khaitan & Co., SAM, CAM and other law firms.
