Petroleum engineering is more theoretical, but hotel management can be interesting and practical. If you want to get better career options, then as per my personal experience, I would suggest you to opt for hospitality, travel and tourism.
There is a lot of scope for hotel management in India, if done from a reputed institution. Hotel industry is on a high demand and has a wide employment opportunities. The hospitality industry is the second largest in the world. The demand for skilled professionals in the industry is increasing not only in India, but also throughout the world.

MS in project management includes implementation of new projects, things to be implemented including estimated cost, implementation of new technologies, etc. whereas MS in petroleum engineering would give you a regular job. Therefore, if possible, prefer MS in project management.

Since method of deciding on AIR has undergone change, data of previous year's cutoff is of no use. However, it is expected that few sites may offer this once exam is over. However, I would advise you to not worry about this and concentrate on your studies.
