If you have already finished your M.Tech from an IIT, you are usually exempted from appearing for GATE for a PhD programme in most institutes and even IITs. Several IITs as well as other research-oriented institutes relax the GATE requirement for M.Tech holders, particularly from IITs, considering that you have a strong academic record and research potential. However, the general rules for PhD admission vary from institute to institute and department to department. It is prudent to check the individual PhD admission guidelines of the IIT or other institutes you're interested in to confirm whether any other entrance exams or qualificati

Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. Programs in Mathematics are housed at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai.

The process of entrance consists of taking an entrance written test followed by an interview for the successful candidates. The written test cut-off marks will be set separately for Ph.D. and Integrated Ph.D. candidates. Based on those cut-off marks, the candidates are expected to qualify in this written test to become eligible to attend interviews.

The final selection is based on the result from the written test and personal interview.

It would be no problem to study for a Ph.D. later if you are currently 35 years old. The basic eligibility criteria in most cases for Ph.D. admission are a good master's degree (or equivalent) in the specific field, along with good academic credentials. Most institutions do not have an age limit for entry into any Ph.D. program. However, some institutions will have certain age limits and restrictions while offering specific scholarships or fellowships. As long as one fulfills the academic requirement and has a supervisor lined up, one can enroll in a Ph.D. programme immediately after clearing NET and applying through the particular uni

The cutoff for the Ph.D. in Law (Part-Time) is not defined as it was not communicated in the search results above. However, the admission procedure involves a two-stage selection consisting of a written entrance test along with assessment of research proposals plus interview. A minimum of 50% marks is required for the entrance test by the candidate; however, 45% is required in case the candidate belongs to the SC/ST/PWD category.
For the specific cutoff scores, check NLU Delhi's website or get hold of their admissions office because they might update you with the cutoff score and the criteria of selection for the Ph.D. program.
