Mainly because admission to A.K.K. New Law Academy and Ph.D. (Law) Research Centre requires passing the MH CET Law exam, admission can be competitive. The college offers a 3-year LL.B. programme as well as a 5-year B.A. LL.B. program. To be eligible for the LL.B. program, candidates must have completed at least 45% of their undergraduate coursework, with certain exceptions for reserved categories. The LL.B. programs admissions process is merit-based and primarily depends on the results of the MH CET Law exam, which is set for March 20–21 2025. Every year, the minimum scores required for admission can change.

PhD Sanskrit admissions at M.R. Government Sanskrit College, Nagpur will not be timed the same every year and will change from year to year. Usually, the college makes the announcement for the admission schedule at the beginning of the new academic school year, mostly around May or June.

For entering the Ph.D. in VNSGU, it undertakes a multi-tier admission process. Candidates are admitted with a Master's degree with at least 55 per cent marks or equivalent. All candidates are given a common research methodology and subject specific-content based test followed by a presentation of the proposed area of research to the RAC. The committee decides whom to send to it. Those recommended for selection are required to take registration coursework and clear the prescribed examination. Finally, candidates register upon successful completion of all the requirements put forth by the RAC assessment of their proposals.
