No, it's not possible, because polytechnic degree is not a graduation degree, and for appearing in the IAS exam, you must have a graduation degree from any university approved by UGC in any stream and your age must have at least 21 years.

Yes, Polytechnic is equivalent to intermediate. And, yes you can direct join degree in second year after your Diploma, you will get admission in your second year of your degree. Good luck.

Yes, it is good branch. You can go for IT and even core companies. Its related to electrical and electronics and even a little computer Science, though it depends upon the syllabus of the college.

Diploma in Electronics and Communication. Diploma in Computer Engineering. Diploma in Automobile Engineering. Diploma in Ceramic Technology. Diploma in Electrical and Electronics. Diploma in Mining Engineering. Diploma in Textile Technology. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Those who join Polytechnic courses instead of other like B Tech/BE etc. are able to complete them with less expenditure as there fee is less. For doing engineering in Private College, you must have INR. 7 Lacs in your hand. So, this can be the main advantage.

Yes, you are eligible, if he has done BCA from a recognized college/University by AIU. Further, BCA is an undergraduate degree, hence you are eligible if meeting the other criteria.

Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Communication B.J. M. C. is an undergraduate programme of three years that provides aspirants with knowledge about various journalistic skills in mass media such as newspapers, television, radio, internet etc. It also informs students about various technology, equipment and software involved in mass media. As per eligibility criteria you are eligible, because you have completed class 12th in year 2016. However, your Polytechnic Diploma cannot provide any help in admission in B.J. M. C. course.
