Diploma definitely gives a technical touch but your further study options are somewhat reduced because after diploma if you want to study B.Tech then you have the option to give only one examination that is LEET (lateral entry examination) but if you go for 12th then you can opt for various national and state level examinations like JEE, BITSAT, UPSEE, MHTCET, VITEEE, etc.

Hi Vatsal,
Depending on where you want to study, you must take IELTS or TOEFL to meet English language requirements and SAT or ACT as well. You can check here for the specific requirements and have an idea:

Yes, you can get the lateral entry but the condition is that your record should be clear no backlogs. Otherwise, no one will give you lateral entry.

Hi Manish, normally polytechnic courses require candidates to have physics, chemistry, biology or mathematics and also must apply for apply for CET (Common Entrance Test). You have to check the eligibility first. Alternatively, you may look for IT related programs. Please go through the following list and see what interests you:

You have to go there on the basis of your class 10th basis. You could not get admission in polytechnic second year, you are even not a student of science.
