You will be eligible and you need to write a competitive exam called D-CET which will be conducted by Govt. of Karnataka in the month of June. You can apply to the preferred colleges depending upon your rankings.

Hi Mahesh, if you want to limit yourself to a particular field you may opt for Polytechnic. If you have the desire to explore more options and interests then go for HSC. Its a very personal choice, you have to know your strengths and interests.

After polytechnic, that means diploma in engineering, if you want to do further study then there are various options for you. first of all you may go for graduation in engineering B.Tech or B.E. in B.Tech you may take admission through lateral entry. in this case you will get chance to take admission directly in second year B.Tech. but in IITs there are no lateral entry seat. in other way you may appear in engineering entrance examination like a 12th pass candidates. after clearing the engineering entrance examination according to your rank through counseling you will get chance to select your college for graduation in engineering. so

Hi Sushant,
Diplomas are not accepted by German universities. You can pursue your degree but after satisfying the admission requirements. Please enroll into a Bachelor degree program in a recognized institute and complete the first year with very good grades. Check the ANABIN website for your degree equivalency. Since most UG programmes are taught in German, knowing German language is mandatory for many universities. Take your IELTS too. Also check the DAAD website:

Please consider NIOS and Andhra Pradesh Open School Society. Chances are minimal of pursuing both polytechnic and class 12th together even though you choose open schooling. It is best you confirm with the schools for any provisions.
