No, the PTE personal introduction is not a scored task in the PTE exam. The task aims to familiarise you with the testing tools and technology. It involves reading a prompt and then recording your response on the mic but you don't receive scores for this section.

A PTE score equivalent to the CEFR B2 level profeciency is the most desuired PTE score for admissions to universities abroad. The PTE scores equivalent to the CEFR B2 level range from 59 to 75. This score demonstrates that the student is well off to understand instructions in an academic environment at both undergraduate and postgraduate study levels.

As of now there is no bar on the number of attempts allowed to take the PTE exam. Test takers can retake the exam as many times they want to improve their score. However, there are two conditions associated with the allowed retakes. These are-
- A new PTE exam slot must be booked only after the result of previous attempt is released.
- Only 12 attempts are allowed in a given 12 months window. If you happen to have exhausted all these 12 attempts for the concerned 12 months window and want another attempt in the same window, then you'll have to submit an application for the same.

The PTE test best suited to apply for an Australian PR is the PTE Academic Test. The minimum PTE scores required to qualify for the Australia PR are 65. The Department of Home Affairs in Australia accept teh PTE Academic test for all types of visa applications.

The PTE exam syllabus is focused on the four key parameters of assessing the English language proficiency, i.e. Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening. The PTE exam syllabus is-
- Speaking & Writing
- Personal Introduction- Involves a brief introduction of you.
- Read Aloud- Read short passages given on the screen and get tested for pronunciation, fluency and intonation.

Yes, the PTE scores in Australia are valid for 3 years only in the case of applying for PR in Australia. For studying and getting admitted to universities in Australia, the validity of scores lasts 2 years.
