Yes, the Swinburne University of Technology accepts the PTE scores as a part of their English language proficiency requirements as per the course level.

For international applicants, PTE score is required for the University of Hertfordshire UK. The overall score of 59 is required in PTE. Other test scores required in English language proficiency tests are:

  • IELTS: 6.0 in UG or 6.5 for PG
  • TOEFL: 72 overall in UG and 79 overall for PG
  • Duolingo test score is also accepted

International students coming from diverse countries must submit their PTE score, especially if their first language is not English. The La Trobe University expects a minimum PTE score of 58 or above. In addition, students must submit additional exam scores including TOEFL, PTE, and more. The La Trobe University English language requirements are given below:

PTE exam fees for 2026 was increased by INR 900. So now the fee for Indian students to register for the PTE Exam is INR 18,900, includes taxes

The PTE test is conducted at authorised PTE test centres in India. There are 62 such authorised Pearson PTE test centres where test takers' safety and convenience is given the maximum priority. The major test centre cities include Delhi, Bangalore, Noida, Gurugram, Jalandhar, Ahmedabad, Mohali, etc.

According to some sources, it is absolutely possible to get an absolute score of 90 on your PTE test. The key is to immerse yourself in the language - read books, watch podcasts and documentries in English, speak in English daily and try to have every conversation in English.

A PTE score of 79 is generally considered equivalent to an IELTS score of 7.5.

Although the kevel of difficulty is different for each candidate taking the test, some questions are usually considered difficult to attempt than any other questions asked on the PTE Test. The same is the case with the questions on the Reading section of the PTE Academic Exam.

Students willing to study abroad need to take the PTE Academic test. The PTE Academic exam fees in India is INR 18,000. However, students willing to move to the UK can also take the PTE Academic UKVI test which costs INR 18,000. Similarly, for immigration to Canada, one can take the PTE Core test which also costs INR 18,000 in India.
