Often candidates are left wondering about the validity of their PTE scores. They should know that their PTE scores are valid for two years from the date of the exam. Once the two years are over, the expired PTE scores would be automatically removed from the test taker's account.

Yes. Candidates should be aware that the PTE registration fee is valid for a single PTE test. Candidates who are looking to appear for a second PTE Academic test would be required to register for the PTE test again and also pay the required PTE exam fees. Hence, candidates are always advised to book their PTE exam slot only after having prepared for the PTE Academic test.

No, the Department of Home Affairs of Australia does not accept any at-home or online test for immigration to the country. The Department only recognises at-centre tests for all visa applications.

Various professional and government associations in Australia accept the PTE scores such as Engineers Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC).

Yes, the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) is accepted by the Australian Department of Home Affairs (DHA) as proof of English language proficiency for all visa categories, including Permanent Residency (PR).

Generally, the PTE scores remain valid only for 2 years. However, only in the case of Australian PR, the scores may remain valid for 3 years. Candidates are advised to check the conditions before applying.

If you have forgotten your My PTE account's password and username then, you can retrieve the same using the online platform.

To retrieve your username, you need to connect with the PTE Customer Support Team through the online platform. The support team may ask you a set of few security questions, make sure you answer them correctly.  

Once you get your username, you can go to the My PTE login dashboard, enter your username and then click on "forgot password". From there on, you will get complete guidance on how you can get a new password.

The latest advancements in the PTE Academic exam for the year 2025 are given below: 

  1. The PTE exam fee was increased by INR 1000 in 2025 for Indian students. The PTE exam fee, which was INR 17,000 in 2024, has increased to INR 18,000 in 2025.
